A painfully difficult book to read. I can't even tell you what it was that made it hard to keep reading, but there was something about it I really just didn't like. The story was really...bizarre...and I've read many books similar to this, so the basic story was nothing new to me. But the whole "kidnap my daughter, take her to some compound to find healing" idea was just...too out there for me.

I quit reading about 2/3rds of the way through- completely uninterested in the direction Campbell went with the story, and was incredibly disappointed to realize I had thrown away my receipt and could no longer return the book!
