I enjoyed the book, but only because the story was really putting me in the book at the end. Normally I quit reading books that are too boring at the start or makes me hate this main character you’re following. Vhalla was one of those characters that made me think: “Girl, you’re being stupid.”
The story was really… Cliché at the start. The girl is a generic common citizen in a town, who works in a library but all of a sudden the girl is really special and everyone will try to get her powers. In the end, it didn’t really seem like that. I’m not going to spoil anything, but let’s say a huge twist followed round the end of the book that I didn’t expect and I think this will be executed well in the second book that I’ll be planning to read.
