Towers of Midnight by Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson
5.0
This book is good, but I have issues with it, minor issues, but they bother me a lot. First, and foremost is the timeline issues. Essentially, 70% of Perrin's PoV's take place before the end of Book 12, the Gathering Storm. It's very understandable, and quite easy to follow. But I don't like it. The other thing that bothers me is the pacing. Instead of normal Brandon Sanderson fashion, with everything happening all at once in the fabled Sanderlanche, you have these super epic and climactic moments for each character, but they are all separate. You build up for one moment, only to start at the bottom and ramp up. Kinda disjointed some times.
I still rate this book incredibly high, as those epic moments are so incredibly good, being some of the best of the entire series. They are absolutely jaw dropping in scope, and execution, leaving breathless, or audibly cheering. Freaking dope.
