Us, Et Cetera by Kit Vincent

This was such a lovely read! The characterization is so on point!! I loved the sense of whimsy and earnestness within Eke. All he wants is to dress how he wants, do his lil stunts for his fish friends, and be a proper part of the family and it breaks my heart to see him constantly treated so horribly for being “just” a machine 🥺 and Kyp is the perfect complement to him as the one who seems standoffish but is really intensely loyal to the core 👊 and all the side characters too were all very complex. This book did an excellent job of utilizing “show, don’t tell” with each member of the Kensworth family 🙏

To be honest some plot threads did feel a bit loose for me. Without giving too much away, Carson is the worst and I am still SO concerned over where things left off with him 👀😬 and the ending overall did feel a bit abrupt but in the end, this story is more about the journey and I had a fantastic time seeing these two come together and discover what it means to be truly alive.

Also the chapters are incredibly short so this was an absolute breeze to read 👌 my first Kit Vincent book and I’m excited to see what else they have in store!
