The Years by Virginia Woolf
4.0
This is, I will confess, a very difficult book to get into. The nature of the work makes it so that it possesses a very great and very complex cast of characters. This complexity and diversity originate a difficulty for the reader: how to keep track of everything that was said, and who are all of those people.
Once you get into the story itself, you will find a very soft and light family history, with many layers to unveil. It is important to pay attention to what is out of the page, although suggested by the author's words. Innuendo is one of this work's strongest assets.
