MADK, Vol. 1 by Ryo Suzuri
challenging
dark
fast-paced
- Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
4.0
I went into this blind, which in retrospect was a choice fairly consistent with me - a person who doesn’t love horror but sat down to watch Midori alone and contextless.
It’s interesting and did make me want to seek out volume 2, even keeping all of the fairly extreme elements in mind. This is a story where someone loses their virginity via entrail sex so if that is something that is a hard no for you, totally understandable.
The story feels largely secondary to the visuals and I’m interested to see how that is handled in the second volume.

Graphic: Gore, Sexual violence, and Violence
Dubious consent, extreme gore, sexualization of that gore -the main character has a pretty extensive fetish for vore which is realized in the early parts of this book. It does not let up after that.
