I was a bit afraid that this manga was going to lead nowhere and would continuously play on the gimmick that Mieruko just tries to ignore all these yokai -- however, it seems that the plot is (really) slowly coming together and there seem to be (a bit of) character development as well. Hence, I won't be giving up on this manga :)
