I enjoyed this a lot. The Caraval/Once Upon A Broken Heart world is always a welcome slice of escapism, full of whimsy & magic. Loved the twisted fairytale feel of this book (the whole series really).
I’m glad we got to return to The Hollow, however briefly, as it really is the coziest, comfiest place to ever have been imagined. Maybe tied for first place with The Burrow.
I did feel the first portion of the book where Evangeline didn’t have her memories dragged out for too long & Apollo’s POV was insufferable, though perhaps that was a necessary evil for the plot. I also remember checking to see there was 20ish% left of the book & feeling there was no chance of a satisfying ending. I was pleasantly surprised but would have preferred more time on Jacks & Evangeline’s love.
