This book was very informative and I learned so much.
I read this book as a part of the Read for Palestine readathon. I didn't totally make it in that week but I finished in the days following it. I also went to the zoom meeting for "Author Meets BookTok: Sim Kern and Rashid Khalidi on 'The Hundred Years' War on Palestine." This coming up made me very excited to start the book and read as much as I could before it so I could be informed going in. This talk was very informative and inspiring and I am thanking both authors and the hosts a lot for this event.
About the book it was amazing. It explained everything that happened in those 100 years in easy language that was good to follow for me. Didn't mean I went through it easily because this book is understandably really heavy in it's material.
I also really enjoyed how the author kept it relatable with interweaving a lot of his personal stories. That made the book less of a monotone history book and made it a lot better to me.
This book though is written for you to understand the situation in Palestine better and it really did that. It gave me a lot of context and information that made everything a lot more clear on how things have lead up to the current problem. Knowing this information makes it easier for me to argue against people around me why we need to fight for Palestinians and I am very grateful for the knowledge it has given me to do so.
All together this book is an incredible recourse that I recommend everyone to read.
