I listened to this on audible and fell in love with it really quickly!

I don’t really read or listen to a lot of ya, but I’m so glad I gave this book a chance! It’s such a beautiful story and Luca captured my heart instantly.

It’s not just the adorable mc that drew me into the story though, his friends, dad and Jordan were all perfect as well!

The pacing of the book is great and I have to say the narrator did a fantastic job of capturing each character’s personality.

In summary, this is a beautiful story about loss, grief, love (both romantic & platonic) and finding new directions when life knocks you off balance. There’s a few darker elements scattered throughout the plot, including graphic descriptions of an injury, homophobia and racism, so take care if you’re triggered by any of that, but otherwise, I highly recommend this book.

It’s been a little while since a book made me as emotional as this one, I can’t wait to read more from Tobias Madden!
