I did not enjoy this book as much as the first. This book lacked the mystery of the first book as we knew who the killer was from the very start.
The Amateurs are drawn into another mystery when a girl is kidnapped. Brett leaves them clues so that the group can find her before he kills again. I felt that the group spent a lot of time apart in this book and we didn't get to see as much of Madison and Aerin as we did in the first book. We saw a lot of Seneca and Maddox as the author is trying to force a romance between them which I think is unessacary.
This book was a lot slower than the first book although I still got through quite quickly as it is a very short book. The ending was quite shocking which has made me want to read the next book in this series.
