Lasso the Moon by Amanda Mireles
5.0
I really enjoyed this children's book and think it's the perfect bedtime story for little ones. Kids will easily be able to identify with the character, Max, and her fear of the dark which drives her to lasso the moon and then deal with the consequences of that. While it is a lesson in one sense about the consequences of our actions or that things may not be as good when we get our hands on them, there are also a kid-friendly astronomy lesson within the pages, teaching how the moon controls the tides and protects the earth. Plus, the story was compelling to even me, an adult, who wanted to know what happened to the moon. On top of all of that, the illustrations were gorgeous! So colorful and eye-catching. A high reccomend to the kiddos.
