The more I sat with this book, the lower the rating goes so I thought I should go ahead and mark this as read and review it to move on from it.

I left this book with so many questions but none of it was about the horror or mystery elements of the story.  That was all very obvious.

But what was the point of detailing every little bit of the over the top hotel? What was the point of having these friend dynamics but then make them so afraid to talk to one of their "besties"? What was the point of Tristan and all that nonsense?

There were moments where I was on the verge of DNFing this because I was exhausted by the lengths these friends were going through NOT talking to each other while talking.

I really enjoyed Harrison's werewolf story and was excited to read her backlist but now I'm not so sure.  This reading experience didn't go the way I hoped at all.
