Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus

5.0

So first off, I listened to this on Audible after really enjoying One Of Us Is Lying as an audiobook. I love that they choose to have different readers for the POVs, and Two Can Keep A Secret is no exception. I would highly recommend it as an audiobook.

Two Can Keep A Secret is about twins Ellery and Ezra who have moved across the country to stay with their grandmother while their mother is in rehab. On their first night in Vermont, they come across a body in the middle of the road, who happens to be one of the teachers from the high school they were going to be attending. And in the days that follow the death, things only get stranger. Someone threatens the girls nominated for Homecoming Queen, in a way reminiscent of a past murder. Ellery has only been in Echo Ridge for a short time, but even she can see that everyone is hiding something. And in the end, someone is going to get busted.

I actually enjoyed this story more than One Of Us Is Lying, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The difference between the two is that in One Of Us Is Lying, I guess who-dun-it about 3/4 of the way through the story. With Two Can Keep A Secret, however, I had no idea who had done it until it was revealed. This story was filled with plenty of mystery and false trails, and it's a book I definitely want to have on my shelves some day. I enjoyed the characters, the story, and the setting was fun because I live in Vermont.

If you like mysteries, I would highly recommend both One Of Us Is Lying and Two Can Keep A Secret.
