Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution by Cat Bohannon

funny informative inspiring lighthearted reflective medium-paced

5.0

For all of the traits that make us human, why did these evolve and who was the evolutionary “Eve” that first showed this trait?

Mammary glands, the womb, perception, legs, tools, brain, voice, menopause and love all make us human. Cat Bohannon outlines how all of these human traits evolved, while keeping the female body at the forefront of the information.

This is one of the first books I’ve read that discuss humans as a whole while focussing on the role of the female body on the evolution of Homo sapiens as a whole.
