Out of all of the books related to the "Kommandant's Girl" this one was my favorite. I found Marta's character to be more intriguing and complex than Emma and Margaret. I will say that the plot at times is bit unrealistic, but overall I enjoyed the dive into post-World War II European affairs. I was glad to be able to find out what happened to Emma, Jacob and Lukasz.
