If you want to cry then this is your book. I had to put this book down so many times because of so many emotions that were going through me. But I would pick it right back up. Navin did an excellent job in showing the insight of a six year olds mind. She showed the innocence in a way that wasn’t forced. You felt like you were right in the story. That’s why I had to keep putting it down. And I’m so glad that she kept politics out of the book. The story was both heartbreaking and heartwarming all in one.
