The Burning White by Brent Weeks
5.0
An epic conclusion to an epic story. My mind is still buzzing. The imagery is so outstanding that I can almost actually see it as vividly as a movie on a large screen. The characters a complex and real. There are even a few tear rending moments, and I am usually pretty flat when it comes to that.
Even the acknowledgements are entertaining and witty. Brent Weeks apologizes for pushing back the publication date for this one. The wait was worth it. When I heard that the conclusion was coming soon I re-read the first three stories and then read the fourth for the first time. That shortened the wait and refreshed the story for me. If only there was a higher rating option than 5 stars. I would give the complete series a 10. And I thought when the Night Angel Trilogy became my favorite story nothing would be able to top it. I'm glad I was wrong. It is now a close second. Hopefully waiting for what is next from a steadily improving author.
