The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis

4.0

In this book, we follow Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole on their journey into the underground kingdom of the giants to save Prince Rilian, Caspian's son, from the evil witch. Although the adventure is basically exciting, this book leaves a little bit of a weak impression on me.

The time jumps in Narnia in particular often make the reading experience disappointing for me. The constant changes of characters prevent me from really growing together with them. You can never really get involved with the characters as they are constantly being replaced by new ones. In a way, this makes the stories short-lived and means that as a reader you often feel like you're missing out on something.
