I found this pretty hard to stick with. I think if it had been just a novel about Jade’s Native American culture, or just about slashers, it would’ve functioned a bit better.

I had a similar problem with The Only Good Indians, but at least that one had more scares? I don’t know. I like SGJ’s books, but this one didn’t hit as much.
