I am obviously in the minority here. This book had WAY too much hype surrounding it, and while the synopsis was intriguing the story, sadly, was too much.

Short review: [b:Lore|53375824|Lore|Alexandra Bracken|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1594222283l/53375824._SY75_.jpg|70495202] is Hunger Games meets Percy Jackson but with little characterization, too much action, and a terrible ending.

Things I liked:
- Mystery
- a LOT of action
- A little romance
- Drops of backstory throughout
- Greek mythology
- A twist I didn't see coming

Things I disliked:
- TOO much action - there was never a take a break and breathe moment in this whole book.
- Characters - they were bland and the only one I really cared about was Castor
- Ending - I think it would've been interesting to see how Castor and Lore got out of being new gods instead of their prayers just being answered. I wanted to see more of a struggle
- Conflict - the conflict between Athena, Lore, and Wrath was over WAY too quickly. I wanted more struggle here as well
- Too many groups and things to remember - it got REALLY confusing at some points on who was who
