This was such a beautiful book! I loved Francie, our young narrator, she was so very easy to like. I loved all the women in this book, they were intelligent (and without an education), funny, so strong and always fighting through every adversity. The Rommely women will always be my favorite literary family.

I'm just mad at myself for waiting so long to read this beautiful story.
