Even when the connection between this book’s main character, Aria West and Lily Hu of Last Night at the Telegraph Club is revealed, I was still questioning why this book was a “companion novel.” The last 75 pages or so however really cemented the similarity in tone and overall emotion that Last Night at the Telegraph Club had, and it made be verbally go “Ohhh shit.” I read this with my best friend and I told her that when reading some of the ‘vibes’ of the book reminded me of Taylor Swift’s song “Cowboy Like Me” and honestly I think listening to that song can give a good picture as to what the main relationship(more like a situationship) evokes. The only major complaint I have is I wish there was more of the 2023 section and wish that acted more of a third of the book rather than just an epilogue.
