I liked Tal’s character development but did not grow attached to him or the other characters. His different relationships with his siblings were interesting; I always enjoy reading about these dynamics. I’m not a fan of insta-love, so the romance felt rushed, but I enjoyed Tal and Athlen’s moments as they got to know each other. The plot was too straightforward, and the magic system and worldbuilding were underdeveloped. It was sweet and fun, but overall just okay.
