One of my favorite genres is Vampire Romance. One of my favorite tropes in the genre is the protective trop. Therefore, I was really excited to read this book. The plot sounded very intriguing and did I mention I love Vampires!

However, this story became very “crowded” early on into the book and I found myself having to flip back and forth just to keep track of who was whom in the plot. I’m all for the introduction of new characters into a story but I felt like most of them were introduced within the first few chapters of the story. This was very frustrating and ruined the reading experience for me tremendously.

Nevertheless, the story was good and the chemistry between the main characters was good. I love Siri’s but when one of the main characters broods for too long and denies the connection in a book, it takes away from the romance a tad. Still a good read if you can keep track of the characters in the story!
