Darker Still by Leanna Renee Hieber

I don't normally read in this genre, but the synopsis for this one made me keeping coming back to it when I was shopping. I ended up buying it as a NOOKbook for only $1.99!!
I really liked this book!! I thought that it was something different than what I normally read, and I liked how there were still some paranormal and magic things going on throughout the story.
I thought that the romance in this book was just okay. I was expecting a little more from it, but I did still enjoy reading it.
My favorite character would have to be Natalie. She was the main character, and was a mute. I admired how she tried to be as normal as possible throughout the story. I also liked her for her curiosity. I loved it when she went into the painting with Lord Denbury! I loved how she worked so hard to try and help figure things out.
At the end, I was really pleased with the outcome, but I was left a little sad! I don't want to have to wait any longer for the next book!
Completely off topic from the book itself, isn't that cover just amazing?!
