Just wow. Another late in the year fave pulling up! So I teared up a little in the middle of this short middle grade book. Not because it was sad...there was nothing sad about this book. I teared up at how much fun this was! And the family dynamics were excellent! And the friendships that developed! There is a mild CW for some bullying. But nothing too extreme considering how mean kids can be. Mostly just name calling and threats of violence for the record. Anyway, what are words? I don't have them to properly articulate my level of enjoyment. The best part is that Arcade is a book nerd and his adventure largely takes place in a library or surrounding books! My bookish heart could barely take it! Pick this up if you enjoy middle grade at all. I read it all via audiobook borrowed from hoopla and the narrator was great!
