I went in with quite high expectations for this, but ended up unsure whether I should give the book 3 or 4 stars. The story was really good but the way the book was written, like interviews with the characters, got a bit repetitive eventually. It was a cool concept that showed how time and perspective (and drugs lol) can change the story but I don't think it works for a whole book like this. I probably would've rounded my rating up to four stars instead if it had switched between "normal" writing and these interview pieces. Sometimes while reading I was like "would they really say this to the interviewer? In this much detail?" which threw me off, especially when it was revealed who the interviewer was. Weird. The interview style made it really easy to devour though.

Also, I know this isn't the fault of the book itself, but I listened to the TV show soundtrack and was surprised by how tame the music was. I was imagining a lot more rock but that might be my bad. They did say the band strayed more towards pop as Daisy joined and I know that they're supposed to be inspired by Fleetwood Mac (that I can hear!). I was still imagining music more in the lines of the Runaways though lol.
