Thousand Autumns is definitely a satisfying read. I loved this series so much! I love how everything seems to come full circle in this series.

If you enjoy the following, then this is definitely a series you should check out:
- Chinese cultural and historical fantasy
- Danmei (Chinese BL) & Wuxia (there is a glossary in the back of every volume for Chinese honorifics etc)
- Enemies to Lovers / Slow burn
- Political intrique
- Betrayals
- Injuries (such as temporary blindness, which is so unique, to read about such struggles!)

I find that these Chinese novels translated into English have a different focus then western books, as such it might feel more slow paced but even the 'unimportant' things actually end up being important. That said, if you can enjoy a book that's more about the journey then the destination, then Thousand Autumns as well as other danmei and wuxia books might be to your liking. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
