I haven’t read many fantasy books before so this took me a bit by surprise. From the synopsis, I knew that I would enjoy it. This book had me hooked from the first chapter. The plot is great, and the character feel well thought out. I love Claire Legrand’s writing style. This story, and her writing truly drew me in. I cannot wait to continue with the trilogy. Originally, I was borrowing this from my library, but I love it so much that I bough the hard back copies of the first and second book in the series, and will buy the third when it is published. I think this is also a great book for people who are just starting to get into fantasy.
