Shoe Dog by Phil Knight
5.0
I heard Knox McCoy of The Popcast green light this book a while ago and I finally got around to listening to it on audio. It did not disappoint. This book is Phil Knight’s memoir tracking from his wild idea to start a shoe company to Nike’s public offering in 1980. I was entranced by the casual nature of this book and how lais·sez-faire Knight was at times in his management style. The origin story of Nike is much different than I would have imagined it, and I think that made this book even more intriguing. This book is one I immediately recommended to my husband and he already has it on hold at the library. Many different types of readers will enjoy this one.
