Overall a good story, but it wasn't as exciting as the first. YA relationship fixation bubbled over more than I'd have liked but wasn't the worst. The world building and cultural themes are fantastic.

Kindle ed.: Excerpts from two other books makes it seem like the book will never end, compounding the dragging middle effect (the book itself as well as being #2 in the series). I recommend keeping track of the chapters so you don't give up right before the end.
