Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw

I absolutely love this play. There is social commentary, a great plot, wonderfully well-drawn-out characters, and it's FUNNY. I would definitely read this again, or better, see it.

(Spoilers below)

I especially love that this version, the original, on which My Fair Lady was based, manages to resolve all the squicky feelings I had from the musical. I always thought that the romance between Higgins and Eliza, although nice, was a little bit unhealthy and made my feminism squick for lack of a better word, but Eliza and Freddy are CUTE. He actually likes and respects her!

I LOVE THIS PLAY.
