Ummm...what in the holy horror was that ending?!
I was really excited to see that one of my favorites, House of Salt and Sorrows, was getting a sequel! This one following one of the younger sisters, Verity, from the first book.
This one didn't feel as darkly creepy to me as the first one until a good way through, and then the creep was real. Also, I definitely expected it to go in a very different direction, so the way everything played out totally surprised me.
I still prefer Salt and Sorrows, but this was a good follow up.
This one has an abundance of trigger warnings, many of them are spoilery. If you're at all worried about the content, I'd look up some warnings. You can also ask me, but in a week my memory will have erased most things. 🤣
