this story was a goofy little time, just like it’s predecessors. i will say i enjoyed this one more than life, the universe, and everything since it had a more straightforward plot, if straightforward is even possible for douglas adam’s.

this book was funny, as usual with this series, and also had some nice positive moments for arthur. in the earlier books of the series, he seems to be having a rather bad time. this time around, he
meets the wonderful Fenchurch and falls in love. they proceed to find out more information on what happened to the earth and dolphins in the time that arthur was missing and hitchhiking his way back to the planet.

i will say that i’m not really sure what events have really taken place between this book and life, the universe, and everything other than the fact that it took arthur 8 years to get back. i do wish i knew more about what went on during that time and why this story starts with him driving in a car with russell.
