In The Face of the Sun follows the story of multiple generations of women of a family. The primary focus being on an aunt and niece, Daisy and Francine, respectively. The two are traveling from Chicago where Francine is fleeing from an abusive husband with the aid of her aunt. As they are traveling to Los Angeles the past is revisited by Daisy and she is determined to resolve it - no matter the consequences. Together, they must face the past and the uncertainty of the future.
