Marvey is a recent transplant from Brooklyn to the small town Georgia, taking the opportunity to expand her career as a librarian. She's made friends with the owner of the bookstore, makes resin book pendants, and tries to coax her beloved cat into accepting the move to a new place. But when that new friend becomes a murder suspect when a first time author is found murdered in the backroom of the bookstore, she suddenly becomes very interested in something new - murder investigation.

Looking at this through the lens of cozy mystery, Marvey is delightfully quirky, as is most of the cast. It makes for interesting reading. She's definitely a bit of stereotypical crazy single cat lady, but mostly in a good way.

A zany crazy cozy mystery. For the genre, I think it will be a win. A little too much suspending of belief at times for me, but mostly, pretty solid and fun read. It definitely entertained, at least. I do love me a good cozy sometimes.
