It started a little slow and it took time for me to grow to like these characters but once I did, I was completely invested. The story was mostly predictable but wonderful in the telling. Moyes is one of my go to authors for literary comfort food and I’m glad to report that she’s still knocking it out of the park. The magic lies in her ability to create a host of memorable, flawed, wonderfully human characters that you can’t help but cheer on as they bumble their way - some bumbling more than others - to a satisfying ending.
