This was the first slow burn book that I have read in a very very long while that I was actually excited to get through.
I found myself not being able to put the book down because I just wanted to get to the next chapter where I might get more of a glimpse into the dynamic between Sera and Nyktos
There is not much I can say about this book other than it was absolutely phenomenal
JLA has a way of writing morally grey characters and still making you root for them and it always impresses me
I also adored Nyktos' character and i need so much more of him
I was completely confused by the ending though and cannot wait to read book 2 in the prequel series in November - impatiently checking days off on my calendar until then!!!!
