Through the Looking-Glass: And What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll

5.0

5 ⭐️

Just as I did the first book, I tremendously enjoyed this one. Carroll is a master of playing with words and changing the meaning of a sentence by moving them around.

This sequel felt less adventurous than the original, yet Alice's interactions seemed to be more important. Her relationships with the Red and White Queens was much more developed than the one she had with the Queen of Hearts in the first book. Some much loved characters (Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Humpty Dumpty) also had a bigger effect on Alice than, say, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the Dormouse.

I am quite glad I read these books. For once I felt classic novels had a reason for being called such.
