This is a novel told through connected stories or anecdotes in which we follow Polish girl's coming of age during the 80s. I guess I'm a sucker for narative told through 10 year old girl's perspective with a dose of snarky humour. And it's in a rural setting with hints of political happenings in the background? It was well written. Light and simple. You get selected bits and pieces that paint a larger picture. And I was just immersed in this world.
