Maid of Deception by Jennifer McGowan

3.0

Ok, so Beatrice's POV wasn't so tiring after all. Still, the first few chapters were such a chore. Totally saw the romance coming. Didn't expect a lot of the betrayal, conniving and whatnot from members such as Cavanaugh, Alasdair, and even Elizabeth herself. Was interesting to read about the new developments going on with the "Maids of Honor", though I'm sorely disappointed that they didn't seem as involved in this novel as the previous one. Good to see that Meg and Rafe are still together.

Beatrice is so bloody fantastic. Brilliant even. She could even be compared to Anne Boleyn.

Marry me Alasdair <3
