Thank God this was a short read (5 hours in audio format) because it was super slow. I loved the atmospheric writing and the main character's voice, though. For some reason, it had the same vibe as [b: Your House is on Fire, Your Children All Gone|13542949|Your House Is on Fire, Your Children All Gone|Stefan Kiesbye|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1346599952l/13542949._SY75_.jpg|19107242]—I gave that 3 stars, too—but my experience was a little bit better on that book.

If you want a character-driven, quiet horror, this might be for you.
