This was my first book from Ella Maise and I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style. Maise created great friendships as well as relationships between the characters. The spice and romance was successful in the book although I thought it could have built more consistently and gradually.
I also think that Jason’s character wasn’t fully developed and well-rounded in comparison with Olive’s. But the dual perspectives between chapters did help, which is something I’m very fond of, in moving the book along quickly.
I’ve just added To Hate Adam Connor to my wishlist as I’ve seen that this novel revolves around Lucy’s story and she was actually one of my favourite characters in this book so I’m looking forward to the second book in this series.
