My son picked this book for his '25 Books Reading Challenge' for school. From his POV, he enjoyed it and learned a lot about what rescue dogs (not the kind that is heroes and help with rescue missions) go through. From abandonment onto the journey of finding a forever home.

He's a five year-old and a lot may have gone over his head completely, but he learned a bit about quite a bit. We will definitely be revisiting this story and focus on various aspects so he can fully understand and comprehend everything.
