I didn’t know what to expect…

This book has been recommended to me so many times and I finally had a chance to read it. Wow, what a journey. As someone who typically reads fantasy romance, I tend to shy away from books that are more fantasy because I’m always afraid that I won’t like them. However, this particular book captivated me from beginning to end and I couldn’t put it down.

I enjoyed the growth of the characters (especially Viv’s), the politics and lore, and the way the shop menu changed over time, which lined up with the progression of the story/plot. Highly recommended!
