I really wanted to like this book more. The premise is good, it's very "slice of life" focused, which is a fun take on the Apocalypse.
Ultimately it was just TOO mundane. If it focused more on the emotional tragedy aspect of losing your loved ones suddenly, or leaned hard into the mystery of What Happened, it would have been more interesting. As it stands, it didn't explore any of the aspects I was hoping it would. Still a fun read, and I may get around to watching the TV show.
