From Here to Eternity: Traveling the World to Find the Good Death by Caitlin Doughty
5.0
One of the best non-fiction books I've read in a long time. This book takes death culture around the world to various places and focus on different practices, customs, and rituals surrounding the dead and their grieving families. Caitlin's writing style is tremendously digestible and the content works to normalize death by encouraging conversations and by offering sentimental connections to intimate death rituals/practices from a variety of locations, genders, religions, and ages. (Including unique US locations in the mix, which I was surprised to see) I highly recommend this book.
