This was such a beautiful book. I know it might sound weird, to say something like this about a post-apocalyptic book full of zombies, but well, here we are.

This book was packed from the start to the end with action and many sweet moments between the two main characters. We are watching their (very slowly) growing relationship and in between those moments also fighting zombies or other people, who are already going crazy because that's how the world is in the apocalypse.

I think all the main characters (yes, I include Lucy too) are very likeable from the start and I am sure that I am not the only one who couldn't wait to see them finally admit to each other their feelings and become a couple (because this is postapocalyptic ROMANCE and full of forced proximity and let's be honest, every one of us would fall for Cole in this situation, so it was basically inevitable).

This is definitely a page-turner (but if you are like me, you will have to switch to a different book when reading in your bed before falling asleep to avoid having nightmares, even though it is not that scary, but I know me) some of the scenes are a little bit predictable (especially if you already saw any zombie movie or tv series) but trust me, the relationship part is not. I also liked how the author wrote the traumas of the main characters into the book, I felt like it was addressed just enough to feel real and also not to overwhelm the reader with it.
