I definitely enjoyed the first book more than this one. I liked it a lot and I enjoyed the themes explored in here like found family, loneliness and imposter syndrome. I resonated a lot with Aidan.
I didn’t exactly like Rylan. I think she was trying too hard to be “spunky” and “out there” and I couldn’t relate to someone who just had no filter on her mouth? I just felt like she’s a smart girl but lacking severely in EQ when it came to conversations. She’s not a conversationalist for sure.
All in all, I enjoyed reading this book. There is something so pure in the way that Aidan loves that brings me comfort to know that such yearning could be possible. I felt his love so deep in my bones. Sadly, I wish to have liked Rylan a bit more.
